HADES God of the Dead and Riches (Greek / Roman)
Hades is the Greek equivalent of the God of the Underworld, and he is called Pluto when his persona was taken over by the Romans. He is often seen as cold and calculative, the one God that is often portrayed as evil despite being one of the Olympians.
In YForce, the Gods are not bound to any geographical or ancient religious borders. Hades is classified into the Element of Dark because of his reign over the Underworld, his control over the dead as well as his prowess in the magicks of darkness and shadows. While commonly thought to be an 'evil' God and a personification of sheer terror, Hades is still a Patron of the Element of Dark, who has vowed to protect the world so the Elements can co-exist and bring about peace through Balance.
Hades wields absolute power over darkness and the shadows, being able to go undetected with the aid of his Helm of Darkness. This is especially handy when he battles against forces as powerful as himself, notably the Chaotic demons, as well as other Gods who dare enter his realm. Against mortals and other weak-minded creatures, Hades simply appears as shadows, which when gazed upon, inspires them to turn their heads away out of pure fear.
The God of the Underworld is no stranger to combat, however. When mounting an offense, Hades will strike at enemies with his two-pronged fork. When he spreads the single wing on his left side, Hades can also unleash a horrific vision of the faces and wails of the dead entombed in the Underworld. All creatures under the Element of Dark listen to this Patron, for he is charged to not only protect this Element, but to rule it and to make it prosper.
Followers of the Element of Dark, especially the Guardian, will be blessed by Hades. They are protected by the cover of night, and the creatures of Dark heed their commands as they would heed the commands of Hades himself. They will also never find themselves in want, although it is common for followers to become greedy, ultimately becoming their hubris. Hades however, only appears to a select few - even the Guardian of the Dark Element sees this Patron to be as mysterious and fearful as the Element itself...
...for those who have seen the true face of Death will never want to see it a second time...
