Legends tell of a wild pack that mysteriously appear in a blinding flash of light, coming to the rescue of the Light's followers. With the popularity of these legends, myths such as canines who can turn into knights as well as werewolves started to appear.

The Gabriel Hounds are in fact human beings who have devoted their lives to the Element of Light. Unable to decide between priesthood and knighthood, they chose to walk the middle path.

The Guardian thus blesses them with the might of the Light, giving them a spectral look. They take on the appearance of bestial men covered with fur. They are, however, not wild or beastly. This blessing greatly boosts their strength and stamina, but they retain their will and intellect.

Most importantly, however, is their ability to shapeshift, for they are not called Gabriel Hounds for no reason. They can take on the forms of spectral hounds momentarily, boosting their speed and agility further. They move at the speed of light, weaving through allies and enemies alike, to where they are needed, often surprising their foes. With the power bestowed upon them, the Gabriel Hounds can quickly take out their intended opponents even before they realize their presence.
