Every Element has its own Elemental. The Shade is the Elemental of the the Element of Dark and rightfully named, for a Shade is made of nothing but shadows.

 

Tendrils of darkness weave about constantly, creating and destroying various parts of this unique Elemental. At one time, you may see the Elemental having a long cloak, and at another, you may see through his stomach as a hole appears, but that hole will be closed up quickly as shadowy tendrils fill up the space.

 

Like some Necromancers, a Shade moves by Teleportation. The shadowy tendrils that make up its very being create a very dramatic flair of wispy "dark smoke" whenever a Shade moves.

 

Distance is of no matter to a Shade, for using its very own make up, it can attack from afar or coil its tendrils around objects, pulling them closer to itself. As such, Shades are often used as infiltration purposes or backup, for their sudden appearance will definitely shock enemies to a standstill and their shadowy nature will not only cause fear and chaos, but will make sure their enemies are bound in place.
