The Skeleton is the backbone of the Dark forces. Every Necromancer and every other follower of the Element of Dark will surely know how to animate a foul creature like this, for it is not only easy but also widely available. Despite their sheer numbers, Skeletons are relatively weak and fragile, for they have no muscle, sinew or any form of lifeforce to keep them together. They exist solely due to the magicks of the Necromancer that has raised them.

 

However, not every creature that dies will be raised as a Skeleton. Followers of the Dark Element require an army that can combat the living and skilled armies of other Elements. Unlike those alive, the dead cannot be trained. The Skeletons raised by the Dark Guardian, as well as those that follow him of their own will, are purely humanoids. For they have hands, with which to carry weapons that can be used to a deadly effect.

 

Many of the Skeletons have an innate ability to throw - and what else do they have but their own bones? This however, quickly destroys the army of Skeletons, for nothing will be left when the Skeleton has depleted its own source of weaponry, namely itself. Followers of the Dark then fashioned spears out of the bones of other dead creatures, giving them to their servants, which they use far away from the main battle, thus allowing them to survive longer than usual.
