The Marksmen are troops that have been specially trained to utilize the crossbow, a weapon of precision and power.

Wearing light armor, the Marksmen hide behind infantry lines, though not necessarily within fortifications, and fire their crossbows at encroaching enemies. Unlike other range weapons, crossbows are mostly used to attack enemies within short to mid-range. The further the arrows travel, the more power they lose.

Each crossbow is also unique to its user. To craft a weapon that is the perfect fit for each individual, specifications such as the height of the Marksman, his arm length, and arm power, are taken. Each crossbow is unlike another. Harnessing the power of the Element of Light within, the crossbow fires with precision, often resulting in a one hit kill. Blessed by the Priests of the Light, some shots hold electrical charges that can be transferred from the target to those around it, resulting in a chain of electrical shock.
