Like Faeries and Sprites, Water Pixies are classified as Nymphs, young fey maidens with strong ties to nature and the wilderness. These magical creatures are the caretakers of all water bodies in the world – lakes, springs, rivers and even the deepest oceans, tending to the growth of aquatic flora and beautifying their watery homes.

 

Water Pixies are well adapted to living in their favoured environment, having delicate gills on their neck to breathe easily underwater and webbed limbs to aid in swimming. They also bear wing-like fins on their back, allowing them to glide through water at high speeds. Small and nimble, they dart about underwater, glowing with beautiful green or blue bioluminescence, akin to the anemone and other plant life around them. As long as their bodies are properly hydrated, Water Pixies can also survive being out of the water for long stretches at a time.

 

Their lives are as delicate as the coral, plant life and water creatures that they live with, and they are easily affected and destroyed by upsets in water temperature and pollution. Despite this, Water Pixies will still fight bravely to defend their watery realms. They are adept at casting minor water magicks and are able to make water life flourish at tremendous rates, using them either as a natural wall of defence or an offensive living mechanism.
