TIER 9

 

Since time immemorial, there have been many stories of men and women feasting off the vitality, youth and blood of other humans in order to sustain their own. These people are then known to be vampires - people who extend their own lives at the expense of others. Their immortal lives are never normal, for these people become the living undead.

 

The actual Vampires under the Element of Dark however, are very different. Firstly, these Vampires do not live on blood alone. They still eat and drink, though not in the same amount as we human beings do. Secondly, their thirst for blood only occur when they enter a state of bloodlust. This could happen when they are seriously injured or have been exposed to too much sunlight. In such a weakened state, they lose control of themselves and kill all in their path before draining their victims of their blood.

 

In many other ways, these Vampires are similar to the legends of old. They fear sunlight and they can definitely turn into bats, who seem to congregate wherever these dark creatures are. With regards to garlic and wooden stakes, no one really knows how these came about, for all followers of the Element of Dark will tell you these creatures cannot be made vulnerable simply by throwing garlic at them.

 

Vampires are given proper princely respect even by the Necromancers. Vampires are smart and they often play the role of strategists when the Element of Dark goes to war. They are strongest at night, and it is during this time the Vampires wreck much havoc on their enemies, leaving their corpses drained of everything to maintain their strength and battle prowess.
