TIER 11
Legends tell of huge islands that grow in size and change locations once in a while. However, no one could ever determine why. Most importantly, no one, except the denizens of the Frost, could tell that these islands were actually living creatures - the Aspidochelones.
These magnificent and gentle creatures used to have many varieties. There were some which lived in the tropics - their backs flourishing with lush greenery and wildlife. There was another variety with shells of rocky mountains living in cooler waters. However, all of these magnificent varieties have disappeared due to the changes in climate and the encroaching apocalypse with the misuse of magic and the Elements. Only one variety remains and they are the most reclusive as well as the most ferocious.
These Aspidochelones live in the harshest and coldest oceans where few travel to. Instead of forests or rocky mountains on their shells, these creatures have ice and snow on their backs. These creatures, which resemble gigantic turtles, are able to mask themselves such that their legs and heads can never be seen - this is why no one could tell that they are actual, living creatures.
With their natural size and the natural growth on their backs, Aspidochelones are used as the Frost's first line of defense. The Frost's territories rarely depend on high walls or magical barriers to shield themselves from foes because they trust in their climate, and also because they have the Aspidochelones. Even if enemies can survive the cold, they will find it hard to scale the icy mountains, and most of the time, these "mountains" are actually Aspidochelones huddled next to one another, creating an interlocking chain of enormous ice ranges.
If these enemies show themselves to be capable of maneuvering the backs of these creatures, the Aspidochelones will finally show themselves. A stamp of its foot causes huge tremors and avalanches, and although an Aspidochelone is a slow-moving creature, it causes massive damage when it is charging!
