Frost Wyrms are not true wyrms. They are not even related to dragons. They were given such a term simply because of their special forelimbs. These appendages act like butchering arms, allowing these worm-like creatures to hunt with ease or to tear at their prey. These claw-like limbs however, look like a missing link to the dragons. When stretched out, they look akin to the bones of a dragon's wings.

Usually, Frost Wyrms lay in their burrow, deep under the frozen wastes where they thrive. Their thick coat of fur not only keep these creatures warm but aid them to sense their prey, traveling above ground. When their prey is directly overhead, they dash upwards at an amazing speed, grabbing the poor victim in their powerful jaws. Sometimes, if they are unable to tell what creature it is from the vibrations they sense, the Frost Wyrms will attack with their tails instead. The sharp, ice crystal-like tail will pierce through the supposedly prey or at the very least, deal some serious scratches or gouges.

Frost Wyrms are utilized by the armies of the Frost as traps. With their superb ability to lay underground unnoticed and their acute sensitivity to vibrations, Frost Wyrms are able to hit out at approaching enemies unaware. Before they can ready themselves, the Frost Wyrms would have already burrowed away deep underneath, sometimes with a still alive, struggling victim in their jaws - all the remaining enemies can find are ripped carcasses and pools of blood above ground...
