The Jotuun are huge humanoids, both in height and girth. The Jotuun tower over many other beings and mythical creatures. As a result, many believe them to be in the same family as giants and occasionally, the term "Frost Giants" have been used on the Jotuun. This term is still popular even among scribes and historians till this day.

Jotuun are not related to giants at all.. Their bodies are indeed made of frost and ice, but their very cores are still human. No one knows for sure why they are uniquely so - it could be their choice of habitat that made them evolve in such a way, or it could be because of their fervent interest in magic.

The Jotuun are indeed well-versed in magic. The mystics are able to summon chill and fog to blanket the battlefield, which is highly advantageous to the Element of Frost since many of its followers are great at subterfuge attacks. They are also able to summon snow and hail to impede, or even attack and hurt, their enemies.

The warriors, however, have infused their arcane knowledge into their very blood (and that is one of the many reasons as to why the Jotuun are made of frost). They are able to reshape themselves into anything they desire since they can thaw their body to the extent that it is malleable yet not entirely liquid. Once complete, their body will freeze up again.

Most of the time, however, the Jotuun warriors use this skill on their arms. They change their arms into a wide array of weapons, with the long spike (or spear) as the most common. With arms crafted into the shape of weapons, they are able to deal as much damage as possible during a fight. Since they are made of frost, these arm-weapons are very sharp and strong, and rather difficult to damage.
