TIER 4
There was once a gigantic crustacean, bigger than any alive today. Its tough carapace protected it from both physical and magical attacks. Unfortunately, it was crushed under the foot of a powerful demigod. Carcinos was then turned into a star, and all mortals came to know it as the star sign, Cancer.
Though Carcinos is now remembered only in the cosmos, its legacy is left behind in the watery domains all over the worlds. Its offsprings are smaller, though reasonably larger than known crustaceans. These creatures are also known as Carcinos, in memory of the ancient monster.
A bright red carapace with black markings protect its soft insides, and if the color of this protection is not enough to deter enemies, the thorny spines all over its entire body definitely will. The tips of these spines are coated with a mild venom - it will not kill, but the venom causes an immense burning sensation in the bloodstream of its attacker.
Carcinos' main weapons are its pincers. The pincer on the left resembles those of other regular crustaceans, but larger and more powerful. This powerful claw can shatter shields and weapons with ease, and anything caught in its grip will not find escape easy. The right pincer has evolved into a stabbing tool that strikes with inhuman speed and accuracy, piercing through even the toughest man-made armor.
Although the real Carcinos is but a memory, the little Carcinos continue to scuttle across the ocean floors. When they are called to battle, they gather in masses, following the leaders of the Element of Water tirelessly. This massive cast of red seems to indicate that the seas will turn red with their victory...
