TIER 5

Legend tells of a place so magical and so dangerous that few men have ever set eyes upon it. Travelling there is near impossible, for all navigational tools are rendered useless by the strong magical forces present, and many powerful, mythical creatures are safeguarding the secrets within. Sailors who travel unknowingly near the area and have no knowledge of this place are at immense risk - many a ship have disappeared around this mysterious location.

For the sailors who survived, they tell of a disillusioned tale. Beautiful nymphs sang to them from afar and the sailors were unable to resist their melodious voices, which were hauntingly melancholic and forlorn. Upon reaching one of their enclaves, the sailors discovered that the nymphs were not what they had previously thought them to be - they were hideous, scaley monsters, luring sailors to their doom. These creatures are the mysterious Sirens.

Sirens are female monsters covered with scales. Their upper bodies are humanoid, with horns on the head and webbed fingers. Their lower bodies, protected with tough scales and sharp spikes, resemble the tails of fishes. At the end of the tail is a kelp-like fin, and within this tail-fin hide two serpents that can deliver venomous toxins to anyone or anything they bite. Sirens are known for their mellifluous voice, but these eerie tunes weaken the will of those who hear them. As their boats capsize, Sirens will then feast upon the bodies of these sailors.

They are misunderstood creatures, however. Sirens have sworn themselves to be the protector of the watery domains of the Gods, pledging to be faithful followers of the Element of Water. Only enemies of the Gods or the Element of Water need fear them, for the power of their voices only affects those they intend to hurt. The Sirens immobilize their enemies with their voices, weakening their resolve as nightmares attack their mind. While incapacitated, other creatures of the Element of Water will then cut them down. Otherwise, the Sirens' haunting melody only serves as a warning for others to avoid treading too close to the mystical place they call home.
