TIER 7

Majestic and beautiful, the Hippocampi roam the oceans freely. Like the very waves that gave birth to their existence, Hippocampi do not like to be reined in. They can be gentle, rolling about in the surf playfully, or they can be frightening, crashing upon their enemies. Often used as steeds pulling the carriages of the Gods they serve, this is the only time Hippocampi are restrained, and they do so willingly.

A Hippocampus has the upper body of a horse and the lower body of a fish tail. Its huge but sleek body shimmers in colors of blue and green, giving it camouflage against the flora of the oceans, and also to beautify the watery kingdoms of the Gods in which the Hippocampus swims. The curled mane of the Hippocampus looks more like the waves and bubbles of the oceans than actual hair, adding a touch of mystery to this beautiful creature. Its strong and muscular forelegs propel it through the water at great speeds, while tough fins grant it agility to maneuver great obstacles along its path.

When in danger, a Hippocampus will rush off at great speeds, using its tail to give it extra boosts. If an enemy is not deterred and continues in pursuit, the Hippocampus will change into an offensive stance instead. Like most horses, a Hippocampus can use its hooves to devastating effect; it will rear up in anger, kicking out at its assailant before landing both hooves on the enemy. Where physical attacks fail, the Hippocampus can also utilize its very element - water.

The Hippocampus will swim in small concentrated rings, causing the water to swirl around until it becomes a mini water tornado. When multiple Hippocampi do that, a whirpool is created. Hippocampi are, however, mostly used as ranged units in the ranks of the Element of Water. Surrounding themselves amongst the waves for protection, they stay far away from the main battle zones. In one accord, the Hippocampi will spew forth strong blasts of water. These water blasts are so precise and powerful that they will knock out their targets, and then hurtle them backwards into their own allies. The blasts don't just stop there, however. They then change from a forceful single-target spout into a spray akin to that of a fountain's. This allows the Hippocampi to attack multiple targets at once, scattering their enemies.
